Filmed for Canadian Coastal aboard their boat Platypus, this project follows sailing trips through Howe Sound, focusing on the surrounding landscapes and the region’s glacier-fed green waters. The footage keeps the boat closely framed against the coastline, letting the colour and movement of the water carry the visual weight. Shot in 25 knots of wind and rolling swell, the project involved launching and recovering the drone from a moving sailboat, balancing technical execution with a clean, cinematic feel.
